Team News
Concerns over the fitness of a number of players have forced London Irish into taking the unusual step for the club of announcing a 24 man squad for Saturday's game. A combination of knocks and injuries suffered by players in last weekend's game with Sale, the 'A' team match with Oxford University on Monday and in training with the England squads, means that late fitness tests are required before the starting 15 and replacements can be finalised. Unavailable for selection through long term injury are: Adrian Flavin (neck), Darren Edwards (jaw), Peter Poulos (knee) and Paul Sackey (ankle).
Commenting on his team's prospects for Saturday's game, Head Coach, Gary Gold said, "Last Friday evening against Sale we put in our best display of the season to date. The team know that they have to repeat that performance and improve on it on Saturday if we are to have any chance of getting a result against a Leeds Tykes team that is improving dramatically with each game."

The match vs. Leeds Tykes is one of only two home (Madejski) Saturday matches the Exiles will play this season. The Craic is always renowned at London Irish, as win, lose or draw there is always a party at the Madejski after a rugby match! Irish are encouraging spectators to come along and enjoy themselves at the Leeds game while still getting to enjoy a lie in on Sunday morning!

Roadworks at Jct 10 of the M4
Spectators travelling to the London Irish match on the M4 this Saturday are advised to leave plenty of time for their journey. The east bound (towards London) exit slip road link road from Junction 10 of the M4 will be closed from 10am today until 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
Heavy queues are expected so PLEASE ALLOW PLENTY OF EXTRA TIME FOR YOUR JOURNEY. London Irish is advising spectators to ARRIVE EARLY at the Stadium on Saturday, due to the roadworks.
Spectators who can travel by public transport are advised to do so - there is a shuttle bus running from Reading Station to the Stadium from 9.00am until 7.15pm.
Supporters arriving early at the Stadium will be able to get a drink in either the hotel bars or the North Stand concourse bar, all of which open at 12noon. Live Irish music will also start in the North Stand craic at 1.30pm.
