It will also be a great opportunity for supporters to see the new Irish shirts modelled by the players!"

SUCCESS FOR WOKINGHAM IN THE THAMES VALLEY YOUTH GAMES (and Digger was there to cheer them on!!)
On Saturday 19th July the 2003 'Thames Valley Youth Games' were held at Eton College in Windsor with over three hundred children aged from 10 through 12 residing within the Thames Valley region competing in a tag rugby festival.
The selection process for the players of the teams started way back in September 2002 with rugby clubs from around the Thames Valley sending in coaches to schools as part of the Active Sports programme. After six weeks of coaching, a schools tag festival was held where a selection of children were chosen to train every week together to represent their town in the TVYG.
As ever, whenever there is a tag festival in the area there was strong support from a 6 foot Irish Wolfhound in the shape of Digger! In soaring temperatures, Digger larked around with children and parents and even tried his hand at advising athletes on the art of triple jumping 'four legged style'.
Alan Jones, Head Coach for Wokingham comments, "I am delighted at the way that we played throughout the day. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves today and I hope that the children that we have developed over the last few months carry on at their skills at Redingensians RFC."
If you are aged between 9 and 11 and wish to find out about how you can get the opportunity to represent your town in the Thames Valley Youth Games then simply contact the Sports Development Officer at your local council or contact Alan Jones for information about Redingensians RFC on 0118 940 4303 or e-mail alan-jones@redingensians.org.uk.
