POWERGEN SCHOOLS TAG RUGBY SCHEME St. Sebastian's School in Wokingham took part in the finals of the Powergen Schools Tag Rugby Scheme as a curatin raiser to the Powergen Cup Final at Twickenham last Saturday. There were no winners or losers - all the children were winners for reaching HQ but St. Sebastian's played well and showed good discipline throughout. Well done to the team for representing London Irish so well.

SWEET CHARIOT TOUR SWINGS BY BERKSHIRE The Sweet Chariot Tour visited Reading Rugby Club yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 20th April). London Irish players Nils Mordt and Nick Kennedy were present at the reception to support the visit. Digger the Irish wolfhound was also in attendance to help entertain the crowds with some help from Rory the Evening Post lion! The Sweet Chariot Tour is touring the Webb Ellis Cup around rugby clubs in the UK, offering as many rugby supporters as possible the chance to get up close to the impressive trophy. Over 450,000 people have already turned out to support the World Cup celebrations. A Universities Touch Rugby Tournament also took place, followed by Corporate and Club Touch Rugby matches in the evening and live music.
PLAYERS' AWARDS DINNER There are only a few places remaining for this year's Players' Awards Dinner, being held on Thursday 13th May in the Ballroom of the Millennium Mayfair Hotel. With the menu specially created for us by celebrity chef Brian Turner CBE and a great evening of entertainment planned including Dave Finnegan's 'Commitments', you won't want to miss it! Tickets are priced at £120 inc VAT per person or £1200 inc VAT for a table of 10, which can include the company of a player and their partner if you wish.
